Do you love oatmeal but don't have the time or energy in the morning to make it? Are you looking for something healthy to feed your family for breakfast -- the most important meal of the day?
Chocolate Milkshake Overnight Oatmeal is quick, easy, healthy, and SO delicious and filling!! Basically, you mix a few ingredients together at night before bed, and in the morning you have a bowl of yummy oatmeal that you can just pull right out of the fridge and eat! It is even quicker than fixing a bowl of cereal! Of course you can definitely microwave this oatmeal for a minute to heat, but honestly, it is really good cold! Especially in the summer months, the cold oatmeal is so refreshing--just like a chocolate shake!! I have even found myself snacking on this throughout the day... So grab a spoon and enjoy!!
Chocolate Milkshake Overnight Oatmeal Recipe
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Servings: 2
Serving Size: 1 cup
Ingredients
- 1 cup quick (or rolled) oats
- 1 cup chocolate almond milk
- 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter
Directions
- Add all ingredients to airtight container and stir until peanut butter is mixed throughout.
- Store in the fridge overnight.
- Serve cold or warm, topped with sliced banana.
To Freeze:
After allowing the oatmeal to sit in the fridge overnight, you can then freeze the entire bowl, or individual portions. If freezing individual portions, place in small freezer bags, then in the freezer. This recipe can be doubled or tripled to make extra freezer meals.
To Thaw:
Remove oatmeal from freezer the night before you wish to use it. You can also remove bowl from freezer, soak in warm water, then microwave the oatmeal for quicker eating.
